About the Honda Civic Coupe
Sleek two-door styling, efficient yet responsive performance, and innovative tech features help illustrate why the Honda Civic has earned the title of America’s retail best-selling passenger car1. The 2019 Honda Civic Coupe receives an array of new design cues found both inside and out, giving drivers a new way to hit the streets in style. Choose from a standard 158-horsepower 2.0L DOHC multi-point injected i-VTEC® 4-cylinder or the optional 174-horsepower 1.5L DOHC direct-injected turbocharged 4-cylinder for additional thrills.
Drivers looking for superior safety features will be impressed by the addition of the Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies as standard equipment on every Civic Coupe model. Thanks to 12.1 cubic feet of cargo space made possible by available 60/40 split folding rear seats, you’ll have enough room for all your essentials when packing for a weekend getaway. Across all four trim levels of the Civic Coupe, you’ll find plenty of connected technology features to help make every drive more rewarding.
What’s New for 2019
Several updates and revisions have been made to the 2019 Honda Civic Coupe. Honda Sensing® is now found on every Civic Coupe as standard equipment. Enhanced styling elements include a restyled lower bumper, blacked-out headlight treatment, and more subtle application of chrome accents on the front bumper. Two new exterior colors available on the Civic Coupe are Platinum White Pearl and Tonic Yellow. For those craving even more style, a new Sport trim level features bolder styling, enhanced handling, and numerous value-added features.
Inside the Civic Coupe, the available Display Audio receives a new interface, volume knob, and physical buttons for important functions. Optional Bluetooth® integration now offers easier device pairing. New dash trim, redesigned steering wheel controls, and a revised center console cupholder which can fit larger drinks are examples of other changes that you’ll discover inside the 2019 Civic Coupe.
Honda Civic Coupe Features
Ranging from fuel-saving to thrilling, two proven powertrain options help invigorate your commute on the 2019 Civic Coupe. LX and Sport models are powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission and an optional CVT help contribute to the exceptional efficiency of the Civic Coupe. Select the EX or Touring trim levels to receive a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with a peak output of 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. This potent engine offers some of the best fuel economy in its class, with maximum ratings of 31 city / 40 highway** on EX models. The Civic Coupe has remained a hit with buyers for decades thanks to its sporty character and nimble handling. This legacy continues with the new Civic Coupe Sport which features boldly-styled 18-inch wheels, exclusive shock absorbers, stiffer front stabilizer bar, and rear lower control arms.
Building on the success of last year, the 2019 Civic Coupe adds more refinement inside the interior for a more engaging drive. A volume knob and physical buttons on the available Display Audio system improve tactile feedback and makes it easier to access available Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. Additional premium features offered inside the cabin include dual-zone automatic climate control with revised fan speed buttons, embedded navigation, leather-trimmed seating surfaces, and an auto-dimming rear view mirror. Optional 60/40 split rear seatbacks fold down to create a massive 12.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity inside the Civic Coupe. The Civic Coupe also delivers a more refined driving experience than ever before thanks to additional sound insulation found in the floor, trunk, rear fenders, and front fenders.
Honda Sensing® Safety Features
Forward Collision Warning (FCW) – Using a small camera affixed to the top of the windshield, the Civic Coupe monitors and detects vehicles in front of you. Should this system determine that you’re headed for a potential collision with a detected vehicle, audible and visual alerts will warn you. If you still fail to act accordingly, the brakes will automatically be applied.
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) – Once a collision with a detected vehicle is inevitable, CMBS works to bring your Civic Coupe safely to a stop. An alert will sound followed by brake pressure being automatically applied.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – Long-distance travel is made easy thanks to this system. It’s able to maintain a preset following distance interval on the highway by adjusting your speed accordingly.
Road Departure Mitigation System (RDMS) – A small camera at the front of the Civic Coupe is able to detect road markings. At speeds between 45 and 90 MPH, the system will detect if you begin to drift off the road without using your turn signal. In response, the system can apply corrective steering and braking to keep you safely headed in the right direction.
Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) – This innovative feature reduces driver fatigue and keeps you properly centered in your lane. If your Civic Coupe starts to stray from the center of a detected lane without signaling, corrective steering adjustments help bring the vehicle back into the middle of the lane.
Lane Departure Warning (LDS) – LDS works to detect unindicated lane changes. Audible and visual alerts help alert you to correct the lane drift.
