Don’t let #DeflateGate slow down your Ride

February is right around the corner and at Germain Honda of Ann Arbor we want to encourage drivers to get a little “DIY” when it comes to maintenance in 2015. Of course our service center can take care of larger needs, like oil changes, but one thing you can do from the comfort of your driveway or garage is check your tire pressure, and doing so on the first of every month is a way to remember!

Many new Honda models come with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems that alert you to when your tires need to be inflated. However, they likely need to be looked at before the warning kicks in and that is where a tire gauge comes in handy! Properly inflated tires wear evenly, thus encouraging a longer life, are safer to drive on, and deliver better fuel ratings.

If you’re someone who’s had their Honda for a few years, you might also want to check on the battery of your TPMS, to make sure it still has juice!
